Accommodation and tours can now be booked together in one go, by booking one of our combined packages. We have trips that last from 2 nights/1 day up to 5 days/6 nights. You can choose one that includes a trek or simply day tours and accommodation.

These trips are only available with accommodation at Sarah Guest House and have to be booked in advanced through the website before arrival. See prices below by each itinerary. Single price means you will be 1 person occupying room. Twin share means you are booking as two and both occupying 1 room. (A booking for 3 people would be 2 in twin share + 1 single)

Day 2 Itinerary for 1 day trek = This one day trek includes all the activities of a trek - elephant riding, rafting and hiking. The trekking area is approx. one hour south of Chiang Mai in the foothills of Doi Inthanon. Ride on the elephants for approx. 1hr. and cruise down the river on a bamboo raft at the end of the day for approx. 1hr. During the day walk to visit Hmong and Karen villages and relax at a waterfall. (0830-1700)

Day 2 Itinerary for 2 day trek =  (0930)Drive north of Chiang Mai (approx 1hr) , stopping at a local market on the way. Drive a further 1 1/2 hrs to an Akha village where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon we walk 3 hours to a Lahu village and stop for the night.
Day 3  In the morning elephant riding for approx. 1hr and from there take a bamboo raft down the Mae Taeng River. The rafting trip lasts for approx. 2hrs depending on the water level. Have lunch at a Shan village and drive to a waterfall and then trek for 2 hrs to the waterfall Return to Chiang Mai. (1700)

Day 2  Itinerary for 1 day trek = This one day trek includes all the activities of a trek - elephant riding, rafting and hiking. Day 3  This one day tour starts at 7am , when you are picked up from the guesthouse. Drive north of Chiang Mai, to Chiang Rai, stopping at the Mae Kachan hotsprings on the way. Stop in Chiang Saen, on the banks of the Mekong River and visit the Golden Triangle (the point where the three countries of Thailand, Laos and Burma converge). Tour the border town of Mae Sai, famous for the produce brought over from Burma and China. Then visit hilltribe villages of the Yao and Akha tribes.
